WELCOME!
Since 2005, the Connecticut River Valley Inn has been home to Resident Artist and Chief Experience Officer (CEO), Patricia Brubaker, welcoming guests from around the world to the beautiful Connecticut River Valley and the historic town of Glastonbury (incorporated in 1640!) to learn, create, and relax.
Glastonbury, the second largest town in Connecticut in terms of geographic size, abounds in small family fruit, vegetable, dairy, and livestock farms, along with backcountry roads and opportunities for hiking, biking, and boating. The town also offers contemporary amenities such as day spas, golf courses, shopping, and theater.
Our proximity and easy access to major highways (Rt 84, Rt 91, and Rt 2) make this property the ideal location for day trips throughout the state and a destination for business meetings, retreats, family reunions, weddings, or any special celebration.
In 2020, exciting changes were introduced to our location, focusing on blending Pat's two passions: The Arts and Hospitality!
At our property, you'll find an all-inclusive setting featuring a sunlit art studio, art-filled lodging, and on-site meals in the beautiful Connecticut River Valley Region of Southern New England.
The Artists Rising Getaway offers 6 guest rooms with private baths, spacious modern rooms equipped with amenities such as fireplaces, air conditioning, beautiful bathrooms, balconies, and delicious meals served throughout your stay.
Workshops are fully immersive and are hosted from March through December every year for 5 days and 4 nights. We hope to include workshops on everything from painting, abstract art, block printing, intuitive painting, and possibly fabric and fiber arts classes.
“The feel of the rooms, the friendliness of the town, the inviting sights nearby, and the great food — this very special place is one of New England's best-kept secrets!”
Five unique décors… Enjoy quiet, cozy accommodations in a property from the 1740s with all modern amenities.
From elopements and small weddings to larger weddings, tented events, and life celebrations.
From corporate accommodations and business meetings to dinners, as well as health, wellness, and art retreats.
We love pets, and we know you do too. Learn about our dog-friendly policies.
We have plenty of activities right outside our back door (and front door and side door!). Learn more about them here.
